Ultra Probiotic Plus™ features 8 probiotics to help establish and maintain healthy intestinal flora and promote optimum intestinal health. Probiotics are live microorganisms, usually a type of bacteria, that is similar to beneficial bacteria found in our digestive systems.
Probiotics appear to play a role in modulating immune system activities and thereby have an impact on infections, allergies, and chronic conditions like asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, and others. Probiotics are also activate and are protected through a unique delivery mechanism ensuring their delivery to the large intestine.
Ultra Probiotic Plus™ also has both soluble and insoluble fibre in the form of fruit pectin and flax seed. Soluble fibre dissolves in water and has a gel-like consistency. It influences the water balance in the digestive system and has an impact on weight management, as well as levels of hormones, cholesterol and blood sugar. Pectin is a source of soluble fibre and is found in fruits such as apples. Insoluble fibre, on the other hand, does not dissolve in water and increases the bulkiness of feces. This increased bulk helps to move this material along and out of the GI tract.
Ultra Probiotic Plus™ contains 10 billion live cells at the time of manufacture. There is no need to refrigerate as it is freeze dried and is activated upon moisture, and is great for travelers.
